Mark Greenwood Visit

June6

On June 5th 2017 we had a visit from Australian author Mark Greenwood. He gave a fantastic insight into how he creates stories, while also telling the students many fascinating stories that had them sitting on the edge of their seats! The students loved having Mark visit our school and were inspired to create stories using their own imagination and hunt for treasures.

Chinese Museum Excursion

May17

Students in Grade 5/6 have been learning about Australian History. We have been reading and researching information about The First Fleet, Convicts, the Gold rush and the reasons why people from Europe and Asia migrated to Australia in the 1800s.

We went on a special excursion to visit the Chinese Museum in Chinatown. We were given the opportunity to learn about the first Chinese migrants to arrive in Melbourne and take a close look at historical artefacts in the Museum and in a guided tour of Chinatown.
